“Our creative challenge to [an advertising agency in Japan] was how do we combine AIG, the All Blacks/Black Ferns and diversity in a relevant and impactful way,” said Matthew Walker of AIG Japan, which sponsors All Blacks and Black Ferns.

The jersey is made of ribbed material with black on the top part of each rib and rainbow colors inside.

“The result is a fabric that maintains its black appearance when at rest, but when stretched, reveals the deeper grooved portions of each rib and the colors underneath,” Walker said.

It’s not just supportive, it’s also really cool.
